Terve!

Things are going very well here! On Wednesday I met my new companion, Elder Weaver. He is a tall Texan who is very sincere and ready to serve. We've already had many good experiences together. Some being handing out fliers in the freeeeeezing cold for the open house, burning rice to the bottom of the pan, attending the dedication of the new chapel, finding two investigators, eating Finnish chocolate, and teaching all day at the open house.

We came to Tampere excited and ready to serve and do whatever the Lord asks. Well, the Lord is blessing us for it. The open house is more than one day. It started on Friday and will go to next Sunday. Everyday all day the members guide tours which start every half hour. We wait in the gym where there are refreshments, Books of Mormon, pamphlets, and church DVD's. We talk to people, answer questions, teach, and give out free stuff. It's been very successful. We've gotten addresses and opportunities to teach every day. I feel like we are temple square missionaries, but even better, we get to also go and teach the people that want to know more. What a dream!

Elder Weaver is working hard to even understand what people say. He also has a list of memorized sentences he can say to visitors. Things are going really well. When it's slow and there aren't any visitors we talk to the members and they help us learn Finnish better. Elder Weaver is getting the best start that anyone could ever get on their mission. Talk about baptism by fire! He has a really positive attitude and is learning quite fast, I've already recognized an improvement in his language.

Well, we've got tours for the rest of the week. Pray that more and more people come, and that their hearts are touched to learn more about the church. What a great opportunity! I love you and hope you have a great week.
