Splits with Elder Nikoforov and Grimm
Our office!!!

Terve!

This week has been a joy! In the beginning of the week we were in the office a lot. You should have seen Elder Bryant and me at the computer trying to make an excel document. Haha we had a good time and learned some cool things about excel. :)

On Wednesday we had splits with Zone leaders Nikiforov and Grimm. Elder Nikiforov came to Marjaniemi and we had a great time trying to find our way to all our appointments since neither of us knew the area well. He is a great friend, it was fun to do the Lords work with him another time.

Later in the week we had time to be in the field and we prayed that even though we didn't have a lot of time, we could still see success. You'd think the church is true or something, because guess what, we got success. Thank you Heavenly Father. On Saturday we met with a the most happy girl ever. She is like a fireball of energy. haha

It was a very unique experience for me because it was the first time I've ever interacted with closely and taught someone who didn't know who Jesus Christ was. We showed her His picture and told about Him. She said she may have heard his name before but knew nothing about Him. WOW, it was incredible to sit and talk with her about God and Christ and how we can pray to God. She felt so good afterward and actually committed herself to read the BOM and pray everyday. Little did she know that's what we would've asked her to do if she wouldn't have said it herself in the first place. :) In my opinion it's a miracle that the Lord led us to her and we were able to teach her about eternal principles that will bless her life forever.

We are teaching a man who is a Yoga instructor. He is one of the nicest people I've met here in Finland. He is very learned and we always have great conversations. His questions are very good, I hope he continues to meet with us. It's hard for him to see the divinity of Christ. Other than that he knows and lives by so many gospel principles. It's incredible to see how close to the gospel he is without ever knowing about it before.
I know that God loves ALL of his children and helps ANYONE who seeks truth and light. But added to that, oh how grateful I am to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know this is the Lords church. He loves you and me. His mission is to save us both physically and spiritually. Let us live according to his will and plan for us.

We had stake conference this week and it was wonderful to see so many friends and familiar faces, followers of Christ. The spirit was strong there and I learned a lot. One thing I liked, someone quoted when the prophet said every member is a missionary. They read a little more and apparently he said, *before that, every member is expected to be a member!* I like that.

Also in conference the Stake president asked H___, one of the people who just got baptized in Helsinki, to come bear her testimony. It was incredible!!!! The spirit testified so sweetly. You could feel all the members faith growing as she spoke. Faith.....the first principle of the gospel, and it's a powerful one!

The members here in Finland are starting to believe that the work is turning around here in Finland. It's not just the missionaries or mission presidents crazy idea, but it's the Lords will.

I've got to go but hey, we also got another investigator this week from Afghanistan. He is super sincere and wants to learn more.

Lots of love,
Vanhin Quinn
