Terve!

Yes, we taught the woman who came to church last week. She is progressing well. Hopefully she will decide to get baptized before she moves up to northern Finland. But if not she will get baptized up there. She is a great lady. She has spent a lot of her life teaching troubled young adults from all over the world. It's given her an opportunity to see a lot. Right now she wants to figure things out in life. Bless her heart she's come to the right place. God's ways are incredible!
The importance of teaching has been ón my mind a lot lately. P.M.G: has an amazing chapter on teaching. It's all about others. Without knowledge we cannot make solid decisions, also man cannot be saved in ignorance. Teaching is a crucial part of this life. We must teach and learn from each other. Being a missionary is being a teacher, a Quorum leader in church, a mother, a friend. Christ was a master teacher, as he went around doing good he taught people so naturally...and they loved it! Teaching doesn't mean a classroom and whiteboard. I remember before my mission I loved going to my friends houses who had parents that would teach us. There were a few who would never be with you without teaching something about life and the gospel.
Elder Perry talked about his mother who would always teach her children while they were doing their chores. He would come home from school and expect to learn even more from his mom. And his mom taught out of love. Not to make her kids the smartest ever, but because she loved them and knew that knowledge is one of the divine attributes of God. Christ also taught out of his boundless love for people. He also taught perfectly according to peoples needs.
Thank you mom and dad for teaching me. You are the most influential people in my life up to this point because you've taught me so much.
It is wonderful to see Tiff, Camille and Anthony all loving and teaching their children. I admire your ability to do so, even though they are small.
This week President is pulling all the leaders of the mission together to teach us how to teach. (He's teaching the teachers how to teach...as they preach)
love,
Elder Quinn
